The Workman WEP2000 allows you to install a mobile antenna without drilling or using magnets, making it ideal for leased vehicles, aluminum-body trucks, or apartments and condos where permanent installation isn't possible. The antenna transmits and receives on both 2-metre (144 MHz) and 70-centimetre (440 MHz) amateur bands, delivering high gain performance with 3 dB on VHF and 6.3 dB on UHF.
This dual-band antenna includes a two-piece through-glass mount system. The whip and base adhere to the outside of a window while the inductance box with coax cable attaches on the inside, allowing the radio signal to pass wirelessly through the glass. The included 12-foot coax cable comes pre-fitted with a PL259 connector, and the whip can be tuned with the provided Allen key to achieve an optimal SWR for your setup.
The WEP2000 provides a clean, permanent-style appearance and offers a reliable solution for both mobile and home radio communications. It supports up to 50 watts and is suitable for amateur radio operators who need a no-drill, easy-to-install dual-band antenna for VHF and UHF operation.
